Star Bank is recruiting a Customer Service Representative for our office in Wheaton, MN.  

The work schedule will be set by our branch operations manager. Monday-Friday only during regular business hours. The bank is not open Saturdays! The following is a summary of job responsibilities:

•    Cashing checks, depositing bank transactions, and providing excellent customer service in-person, via phone, drive-thru, and via email. 

•    Assisting customers with their on-line and mobile banking needs

•    Assisting customers with their debit card needs.

•    Learning and maintaining Star Bank product knowledge and staying abreast of rules and regulations which affect bank operations. 

•    Safeguarding bank assets by maintaining drawer limit, balancing customer transactions, and meeting transaction standards.

•    Answer incoming phone calls as needed.

•    Must be willing to perform misc. duties as they are assigned. In addition, must be wiling to rotate shifts as needed, and attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions. 

•    A solid understanding of credits and debits is required along with the ability to complete financial transactions in a timely and efficient manner. 

•    An outgoing, energetic, and mature work style is a must. 

•    We are seeking a candidate who will provide great customer service, has strong problem-solving skills, and good organizational/follow-through skills. Reliability and punctuality are crucial. 

•    Must be regular in attendance and punctual.

Computer skills:
A successful candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Windows-based systems. Computer ability and typing is a must! He/she must have the ability to learn quickly on the computer and adapt as necessary. 

Experience requirements:
Banking experience is preferred but not required. The candidate must be comfortable handling and being responsible for cash in a professional and confidential setting. 

Education requirements:
HS diploma or equivalent, banking experience preferred, but not required. 

Physical requirements: 

•    Must have the ability to remain stationary in a restricted workspace for as much as 50% or more of the typical work day. This position requires a great deal of standing. 
•    Must have reliable transportation to and from work. 
•    Must have the ability to lift and carry bags weighing more than 10 lbs.
